Even in the rain, Shakespeare Gardens in the heart of Stratford, next to the oldest double-arch stone bridge in Ontario, offers a lovely, peaceful space to enjoy. Beautifully designed, the gardens are well maintained and have an eclectic mix of species to enjoy - containing 60 varieties of herbs, flowers, and shrubs, all familiar to Shakespeare’s contemporaries. Our host, from the Stratford Horticultural Society, will take us on a guided tour of the Gardens and will join us on the Road Trip van to visit a few of the best local gardens in and around Stratford. Our trip ends at Black Creek Flower Farm. Black Creek offers up over 500 varieties of gladiolus, as well as many other fresh flowers. You will learn to create a flower crown which will be yours to wear as long as royalty fits.
