Stratford Road Trips

Ardent biker, Ross, leads us on the 25 km route around Wildwood Lake with its varied terrain consisting of hills, farm fields and winding treed sections. Sunday, August 18th. 8:15 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

Wildwood Conservation Area, a mere 10 minute drive from Stratford, offers the perfect playground for mountain biking. With a variety of terrain and scenery it makes for a good outing. At 25 km the length may be a bit much for young kids and the unfit. The terrain is varied but basically an easier double track on the north side of the lake with a few rather long hills (fun going down) and a few farm fields, cottages to look at. The south side has single track with a few winding, rooty sections and more trees. By the dam, one has to cross the highway and another spot ride the road a short stretch. We will guide you through the trail with a few water and snack breaks along the way. If you need a bike, we will reserve one for you.
