Bask in the relaxing and aromatic experience of visiting a 15,000 square-foot greenhouse which is home to lavender and many other essential oil producing plants. You will learn how these oils are made, visit a distiller, and tour a boutique with over 150 products, all grown and made in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We then move on to Frogpond Farm, proud to be ‘Ontario’s first organically certified winery’. The facilities are fully powered by ‘green’ electricity derived from wind and water. Ten acres of vines; Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Merlot surround the pond. The soil is sandy, silty loam over silty-clay, stony till deposited during the last ice-age.
